What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used or remember your preferences.
Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: keep the site secure, remember your cookie choices, and keep members and administrators logged in. These cannot be switched off.
- Preferences: remember settings such as accessibility options.
- Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are useful. It only runs if you accept Statistics cookies.
- Advertising: Google AdSense shows adverts on some pages. Its cookies only load if you accept Marketing cookies.
- Third-party content: the town map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Our Booking.com links pass through CJ Affiliate’s tracking service, which may set its own cookies, before taking you to Booking.com, which sets its own cookies when you visit its site. These cookies are set by CJ and Booking.com, not by Select Sidmouth, and are covered by their own cookie policies.
